Arti-Teq hanging system
Assembly instructions
Click Rail
- First of all determine location(s) where Click Rail is to be mounted
- With the variety of building materials being used in buildings these days there is no one solution for installing the Arti-Teq hanging system – what is important is that the installer of the system makes a proper assessment of the materials in which the supports for the hanging system are to be placed and selects the appropriate plugs/toggles to use
- if the track is to be placed immediately under the cornice or ceiling, it is recommended that a very small space be left between cornice/ceiling and top of Click Rail
(Note: we find a useful technique for determining where to drill holes, is to use a small piece of the Click Rail and position it on it’s side under the cornice/ceiling and mark thereunder with a pencil – that mark will be very near to where the Click and connect spacer(s) will need to be attached to the wall)
- Click and connect spacers are required near the end of each piece of the Click Rail and then spaced between 400 and 500mm through the length of the Click Rail
- If lengths of Click Rail are to be joined together, a Click and connect spacer is positioned so that it equally supports both ends of the joining Click Rails
- Once levels have been checked, mount the Click and connect spacers by means of screws and plugs (or whatever method the installer has determined)
- If corner connectors are being used, commence clicking the Click Rail into position over the Click and connect spacers from those corners after inserting the corner connector into the end of the Click Rail
- Once all Click Rail is in position, place end caps into the ends of the rail for a neat finish
- this should complete the installation of the Click Rail and you can now move to the interesting stage of commencing to arrange and hang your art-work
Removal of Click Rail from wall
- Should it ever be necessary to remove the Click Rail from the Click and connect spacers, it is recommended it be done very slowly from one end, preferably easing the Click Rail upwards with the help of a flat supportive instrument – do not remove quickly as Click Rail may bend at one of the next Click and connect spacers
Drop Lines
- With the Click Rail fully installed, now you can insert the Drop lines into the Click Rail at those locations where you intend hanging your art-work
- It is recommended that two Drop lines be used in tandem with items being hung as this helps stabilize them
Picture Hooks
- Select the appropriate picture hook(s) for each piece of art-work and attach each hook to the Drop line at the required position
- If using the “screw manually” hooks tighten the screw head so the hook cannot move – remember it has to hold the weight of the art-work being attached thereto
- It is good practice to check each item hung the following day to ensure there has been no movement of the hook on the Drop line
Duty of care
- All components are checked at the time of their manufacture by the manufacturer
- We receive all such components in good faith and sell them on the basis of the assurances provided by the manufacturer – we cannot be responsible for their treatment once they leave our premises
- No warranty is given or implied in so far as their carrying capacity, strength or breaking strain is concerned
